MEXE_II ART AND COMMUNITY MEETING is an initiative organized by PELE – Social and cultural contact space, which the first edition occurred in 2011 and reunited in a week more than 25 theater , dance, community music presentations, documental video projections , talks and workshops. Over 300 people participated in the activities, for 6000 spectators in different stages of Porto.
MEXE II aims the Exchange and sharing of national and international artistic- community projects, assuming art as the space of meeting and dialogue between territories and people, a unique event in Portugal. Maintaining the biannual presentation logic, this year the meeting will take place from 18th to 27th November 2013.
MEXE II opens a space in this second edition to the community in general, presenting proposals to everyone with the purpose of integration in the program. The applications must be framed in MEXE´s premises, exploiting concepts such as: Meeting; Sharing; Identity; Art; Transformation; Community; Dialogue ; Empowerment; among others
MEXE II contemplates proposals from different areas as: Theater| Dance|Music| Circus | Performance | Paint |Sculpture | Video | Photography | Installation|Free communication.
